A tool I had long since forgotten resurfaced in some context or other: the Political Compass uses a two-axis method of gauging one’s political preferences. Some of the questions may seem odd—I seemed to perceive a distinct leftward slant but, as the FAQ explains, the verbiage of the questions actually plays an integral part in the algorithm. Go take the test and see if you find yourself where you thought you would.
